The globalization for which our era is known has reached contemporary art. Like China and India in the recent past, the market is incorporating new geographic scenes. ARTPARIS+GUESTS is intent on putting those emerging markets at the heart of the show.
This new reality of the art market, however, is being entirely neglected by the international fairs, which continue to reflect an image of the art world from the nineteen nineties.
Now is the time to innovate! It is high time that we reach beyond our borders! In that vein, ARTPARIS+GUESTS is deliberately playing the diversity card with a full commitment by offering several geographic and thematic PLATFORMS bringing the spotlight to emerging scenes.
These PLATFORMS with a museum-like ambition will not just be a simple accumulation of stands and galleries. Each one will be orchestrated from the viewpoint of collectors, renowned international curators, and galleries emblematic of the art world in the form of ambitious staging designs presenting the most surprising contemporary artists (and even architects, fashion designers, cinematographers, etc.) from those art scenes.
Indonesia, Ukraine, Africa, Finland, etc. the art scenes of these geographic and cultural regions are greatly revitalizing local galleries and art centres, and are now effervescing on the international level. ARTPARIS+GUESTS is entrusting collectors and players in the art world with the mission of presenting the core forces of the art world.
