ARTDESIGN PLATFORM
ARTDESIGN PLATFORM : EXPLORING THE LINKS BETWEEN DESIGN AND CONTEMPORARY ART.
The objective of the Artdesign platform is the exploration of the links and cross-over between design and contemporary art. Nine cutting-edge galleries have been selected to present one-of -a-kind, exclusive pieces made by contemporary talents. On show will be for example the “sculpture-objects” made by Hubert Le Gall presented as a one-man show by Mazel Gallery, unique pieces by Mattia Bonetti at Cat-Berro gallery, and the latest work by designers matali Crasset and Pupsam at Slott gallery. Domeau & Pérès gallery will present a thematic « monochrome » show while MiniMasterpiece gallery will uncover jewels made by artists and designers. In a theatrical black setting, Patrick Brillet Fine Art is showing a selection of original creations: design objects featuring 3D images, light fixtures, futuristic furniture by Emmanuel Babled, Ross Lovegrove, Brodie Neill, David Roux-Fouillet, StudioDRIFT, Marcus Tremonto and Philip Michael Wolfson. For its first participation, Perimeter Art & Design honors the African design, while Mitterrand+Cramer Gallery will show work by Maarten Bas, Arik Levy and Tom Dixon.
The «Artdesign» Prize, sponsored by IDEAT Magazine, will reward the best example of collaboration between a gallery and an artist. The Prize will be awarded on Wednesday 27th March 2013 at The Grand Palais at 3pm.
