Events at the Fair

28 March 19:00 Drawing now Carrousel du Louvre du 29 mars au 1er avril

We focus on Antoine Perrot's works on paper, born in 1953, he is part of our artist crew since 1988. His work is dedicated to a plastic research, who turns away ordinary materials and import their formal characteristic in his works. Many texts were published about the concept of ‘ready-made colour’ to the issue of his research.
For most of the artists that we present, the drawing means the genesis, it’s the first attempt who foresight their works. The drawing may also offer other meanings and could be an entire variation of one’s work as a closer reflection.
This is the case in Antoine Perrot’s drawing practice, which is double : some of the drawings made with usual materials, are an echo of his entire work ; others mainly ink

29 March 11:00 Permanence de l’art construit de 1950 à nos jours sur le salon Art Paris du 29 mars au 1er avril

As Goethe said, “The future is made from reconstructed elements of the past.” In its modern sense, “constructed art” involves a strategy of cultivating a project that motivates each artist within the movement: it means acting rather than reacting. The practice of art construit is a struggle that ennobles the artistic act, transcending mere anecdote. More than ever, art construit has demonstrated its lasting importance on the French art scene.

Actualité de la galerie

15 March 19:00 Jean-Gabriel Coignet - Reliefs & Sculptures

The gallery will currently have show with sculptures by Jean-Gabriel Coignet, here a few notes that he made in his atelier about is work :
« My practice of sculpture is taking place between architecture and object, borrowing from the object its glossy aspect its homogeneity, nearly impersonal as well as its seriality. From the architecture I borrow a few elements of its vocabulary and its disposition. The result is giving forms nearly familiar but who neither are part of architecture nor of objects and who have to invent themselves a space, a kind of cohabitation with their close environment.”
